Jordan Bred 11 Release
The Air jordan 11 bred is the most anticipated Jordan release of the year. For the last 4 years in a row Jordan has release the beloved Jordan 11 in a diffrent colorway each year. Building more and more hype each year it has almost become dangerouse to obtain the shoe. Lines used to start about 9am the day before the shoe comes out which is Dec. 23 and the malls open at 6am while the store opens at 7am. the people in the lines where so roudy lasy year that multiple mall lines in the St. louis area had to be shut down by the police. When a line is shut down the Police make everybody leave and come back hours later this happened at jamestpwn mall and west County. The people at Jamestown actually ripped the metal gate off of Finishline. As things are not becoming less intinse for these anticipated release they are using the lottery system where everyone puts there name in a raffle then they call the peoples who names get picked 3 days in advance. It cost $5 to make this shoe over seas but they are retailed at $180. Totally overpriced. Is this shoe worth losing your life over? I guess its up to you.

I think that's crazy what people will do for shoes. But the shoes do look pretty cool. I think using the lottery is a great idea. That should keep people under control. I don't understand why they make you pay 175 more dollars than it costs. That's pretty greedy of them.
ReplyDeleteThis blog post made me realized why I never go Black Friday shopping haha. It's really disappointing that people become so possessive and aggressive for a pair of designer shoes. It makes me wonder where society went wrong. Instead of spending too much money on ANOTHER pair of shoes, people should donate that money to the less fortunate. I agree with you that people are definitely allowing themselves to overpay for a pair of shoes. It's amazing that if a person works a minimum wage job to afford a $180 pair of shoes, they would have to work for over 6 hours. Great job on your first blog post SG!
ReplyDeleteI agree with both of the comments above. The things that people go through to get such a simple item is crazy. People will go to greath lengths to get the things they want. You chose an interesting topic. Good job!
